The Feeling Is Real, the Story May Not Be
Not every feeling is a fact.
Fear can feel like danger.
Rejection can feel like worthlessness.
Uncertainty can feel like failure.
The feeling is real.
The story it tells you may not be.
Mind training begins in that small space between feeling something and believing everything it says.
Practice:
The next time a strong feeling arises today, name it plainly (“This is fear,” “This is uncertainty”) without adding the story that usually follows it.
Remember:
The feeling is real. The story it tells you may not be.
Which feeling have you been mistaking for the truth?
One Lens. Many perspectives.
See how other minds are seeing the same thought.
